Terms and Conditions
Please ensure that you read the Terms and Conditions of enrolment at Diamond Music Academy below before enrolling your child.
Class Subscription and Payment
DIAMOND MUSIC ACADEMY operates a subscription payment system. Subscription Class payments are on a rolling monthly basis, taken by a direct debit on the 25th of each month. All subscriptions are worked out individually based on the number of specific classes scheduled for the academic year. All school holidays and bank holidays are taken into account for calculation.
Diamond Music Academy runs classes during school term time only. Your payment plan covers the cost for the classes your child attends and the annual cost is spread equally, therefore fees/subscriptions are still payable during school holiday months where no lessons are taking place.
We plan our lessons on a termly basis and to get the most out of the music sessions and your child’s interest in music we encourage you to join with a commitment to completing each term in full. Your payments are on a running subscription with monthly payments meaning you do not need to re-book each term as you will automatically be re-enrolled.
Payments are taken on the 25th of every month. The cost of all classes varies and can be found on the individual booking pages. We do not offer refunds for classes.
As our costs are fixed, fees remain payable in cases of absence. There are no reductions for sickness or holidays.
We may change the amount of your monthly payments. If we do, we will notify you at least 14 days before the changes take place.
Diamond Music Academy reserves the right to change the timetable without prior notice. However, we will endeavour to inform parents and carers of any changes as soon as possible.
Classes must meet a minimum number of students for a class to go ahead – we will let you know with as much notice as possible if the class you have chosen is NOT going to go ahead.
Your child will automatically be included every term in their current class. If you wish to leave or change classes please see “Cancellation of Subscription” below.
By ticking the box of terms and conditions when you enrol your child you certify that you are the person with parental responsibility for the child named and that the information given is true to the best of your knowledge and belief.
Cover Payment for New Starters
A covering payment is an additional one-off charge that is paid before your first monthly subscription. This charge is to cover any classes attended before your first monthly payment is taken.
Failure to Pay Monthly Subscription
If we are unable to collect your monthly subscription payment on the 25th of the month, after 5 days, we will attempt to contact you to restore your subscription. If your subscription payment is not up to date 14 days after it was due your child and place in the class will be removed and offered to someone else. Please make sure that your subscription payment is set up or contact us ASAP.
Trials
Trial classes can be booked for any available class via the trial booking form.
Following your trial session, you will receive an invitation by email from Diamond Music Academy asking whether you would like to accept or decline the space in the class. You have 5 days after the trial to accept or decline the invitation. If we have not received your booking confirmation within this time, your child’s place will no longer be reserved in the class. Please note that occasionally this invite may go into a junk mail folder, so please add our email address to your email address book.
Cancellation
Although we don’t want to see anyone leave, we understand that situations change and the need to cancel may be necessary.
In such an event, should you wish to cancel your subscription please email us requesting your cancellation by our admin team. Notice of FOUR WEEKS must be given in writing if a child wishes to cease attending lessons. Fees will still be due even if the student is unable to attend class until the completion of the notice period. The final payment may be more or less than your normal monthly subscription.
When you cancel your membership we will send an email in acknowledgement to confirm the date that your subscription will end and any outstanding fees. Your child is entitled to attend classes until then. If you do not receive this acknowledgment, you must assume that we have not received your cancellation notice.
If you would like to come back, you may need to go on a waiting list as we unfortunately can’t guarantee availability in the same class.
Class Etiquette
It is your responsibility to inform us if your child has special health or medical conditions before signing up for our music classes, and we will endeavour to accommodate their needs.
Only once the required skill standard is attained, students may be put forward for examinations or moved to the next level.
Photos or videos that may include children may occasionally be used on our website or for marketing purposes (only with your permission).
Miscellaneous
If for any unforeseen circumstances, a class has to be cancelled (by us) we will endeavour to offer a rescheduled session and if this can’t be achieved you will be offered a refund.
All exams and performances are non-refundable.
We reserve the right to make changes to the terms listed.
